Question
I understand the idea that earth,
water, fire, and wind are the four
elements of nature, but they are
not the ultimate elements.
Further down, there are Elements
and Molecules at the chemical level
such as Oxygen, Hydrogen, and Carbon,
and even further down, the ultimate
world of Atoms and Atomic Nucleus
exist.
Why do you only emphasize Earth,
Water, Fire and Wind?
Answer
This is because the Universe and the
Natural world are made up of many
Hierarchical structures. (Figure below)
Among them, Weather phenomena occur
in the “Hierarchy of the Natural world”
such as the ocean and mountains.
(Hierarchy indicated by Red Arrow)
And this “Hierarchy of the Natural world”
is the world where the effects of Earth,
Water, Fire, and Wind are most strongly
exerted. That is, Solid, Liquid, Heat, and
Wind effects.
Therefore, the Buddha-nature of the
Natural world gives priority to use the
effects of these Earth, Water, Fire, and
Wind, when it corrects or cures
unbalanced Weather Phenomena.
Let me explain in a little more detail.
As shown in the Image above, in the
Natural world and the Universe,
a “Hierarchical Structure” exists
depending on the Size of matter and
energy.
For instance, if we take the Size of
a Human as a standard, there are Cells
in the Microscopic world below, and
within Cells, there are Molecular
Structures such as DNA and RNA
that transmit information.
Further below is the “World of
Chemical Elements” such as Carbon,
Hydrogen, and Oxygen that make up
Molecules.
And below the Elements, there are
Atoms, below them are the Atomic
Nuclei, and further below that exists
the world of Nucleons (Protons and
Neutrons) and Elementary Particles
inside the Atomic Nuclei.
On the other hand, if we look at
the Macroscopic World, which is
larger than Human size, we first find
the Natural world of Oceans and
Mountains, and above that is the
Earth.
Above the Earth is the Solar System,
and above that exists a World of
Galaxy containing Hundreds of
Billions of Stars that are like our Solar
System.
Furthermore, in recent years, the
Hubble Space Telescope has
discovered that there is a World of
Galaxy Clusters made up of Hundreds
to Hundreds of Billions of Galaxies.
Also, the Macroscopic World does not
end there. There are probably even
larger Hierarchies.

In this, as I mentioned earlier, Weather
Phenomena are phenomena that occur
in the “Natural world” such as Oceans
and Mountains within the Hierarchical
Structure of the Universe.
And in most cases, the movement of
Weather Phenomena changes by the
power of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.
Therefore, when the Buddha-nature
of the Natural World that you have
manifested, needs to change Weather
Phenomena, the Buddha-nature uses
the “Power of Earth, Water, Fire, and
Wind.”
To give an example, when a Hurricane
or Typhoon (Wind) approaches a town
or land where people live, the Buddha-
nature generates a Warm Anticyclone
(Wind having Fire) and changes its course
to the Desert or the Ocean where there
are no people.
In addition, when Temperatures continue
to rise for a long time and Damage such as
Drought and Water-shortages occur,
the Buddha-nature brings Cold Waves
(Cold Wind) and Heavy Rains (Water) and
prevent them.
Also, large amounts of Rains will prevent
Forest Fires (Fire) from occurring in the
future.
The Buddha-nature originally exists in
all phenomena in the phenomenal world
and it is managing all phenomena.(1)
Therefore, the Buddha-nature is basically
capable of moving all phenomena.
For instance, the Buddha-nature can,
if necessary, move and control the
movement of Chemical Elements and
Atoms, which are even smaller Units than
Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.
（1）In this case, the fact that
“The Buddha-nature is managing
all phenomena” means the same as
that the Law of Origin manages
all phenomena. Because the Buddha-
nature is the main body of the Law of
Origin. / Also, “Management” here
means “The Law manages Phenomena,”
and it is the same meaning as
“The Rule of Law,” in which the law
manages the country and society.
/ In addition, the Buddha-nature,
which is the main body of the Law of
Origin, is exerted by your actions,
so when the Buddha-nature moves
phenomena, your mind of good
intentions, wishes, and vows, etc.
will be strongly reflected there.
However, when the Buddha-nature
cures the Weather Phenomena in
the Natural world, it is sufficient just
to move the “Power of Earth, Water,
Fire, and Wind,” as mentioned above.
Therefore, the Buddha-nature gives
priority to move and use only the
Earth, Water, Fire and Wind, when
curing the Weather Phenomena.
This is because there is no need to
move Elements or Atoms, which are
smaller units than these.
Furthermore, by moving the Earth,
Water, Fire, and Wind, you can move
at the same time, the Molecules,
Elements, and Atoms that make up
the Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.

In this way, when the Buddha-nature
needs to make some kind of correction
in the Natural world or the Universe,
it uses the powers that act most
strongly at each Hierarchy.

Therefore, in this Article that talks
about the Weather Phenomena,
the “Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind”
are emphasized.
