Going back to the previous article,
I will add the following to the section
on “Living and Constant.”
Question
But what about future actions?
The future hasn’t come yet.
Strictly speaking, from the perspective
of the present time, the future is
a “Time and World that comes from now.”
For “The future that has not yet come,
can you say that “Buddha nature exists
in there.”?
Answer
Because Buddha-nature has been
present in all the Past and the Present,
it will also be present in the “Future
that will come from now.”
*
However, an even more important
perspective is:
The perspective of “How is the future
created?”
The cause that creates all the futures
lies in your Present Mind and Actions.
Buddha-nature exists in “your present
mind and actions that create all the
futures.” Therefore, Buddha-nature is
managing all the futures through
“your present mind.”
Your present mind is the cause that
creates all the futures.
Question
If Buddha-nature is managing
all futures through “my present mind”
or the “person’s present mind”,
does it mean that Buddha-nature
creates all futures?
Answer
Buddha-nature certainly is managing
all futures through your present mind.
(Because your present mind is
the cause that creates all futures.)
However, that does not mean that
Buddha-nature makes the decisions
about “what kind of future to create”
by itself, though.
Buddha-nature is present in all the
present phenomena, including your
present mind, and manages them.
However, Buddha-nature never
uses those things to create the
future by its own intention.
It is ultimately your Wisdom and
Mercy heart that determine
“what kind of future to create”,
and acts upon it.
Buddha-nature is Sho-sei,
while wisdom is Nou-sei
This relationship is between
“Sho-sei and Nou-sei.”
Sho-sei is “an existence that is worked
by something from outside, and
established.”
Nou-sei is “an existence that is established
by working on something by itself.”
Buddha-nature is Sho-sei.
Therefore, Buddha-nature cannot be
established without the “working on” by
your Wisdom and Mercy heart. Also,
Buddha-nature does not appear.
