For more than the past 100 years,
the Arabian Deserts have sucked
the blood of many of its inhabitants.
As a Citizen advocating for those
inhabitants, I say:
The Great Kingdom of Peaceful
Civilization floating in the desert–
there is no more beautiful and
greater achievement than building it.
For me, who is elderly, I may not be
able to see that achievement.
But it brings me great joy to imagine
many people living happily in such
a Kingdom of Civilization.
Constructing the Kingdom like that
is the work of the young people in
the future.
In Syria, there are the
“Ruins of the Palmyra Temple“,
which flourished as a Transit City
on the Silk Road from the 1st century
BC to the 3rd century BC.

の砂漠は、多くの市民の血を吸って
きました。それらの市民の代弁者と
して、私は申し上げる:
砂漠の中に浮かぶ平和な文明の大国
――それを建設すること以上に美しく、
偉大なる成就はない。
高齢の私には、その成就が見えない

して栄えた「パルミラ神殿の遺跡」
