Place “Shi-shou” and “Five Eyes” in
Zo, Tsu, Betsu, and En of “Shi-Kyō”

In this article, I will place “Shi-shou
and “Five Eyes” in the Four Teachings
(=Shi-Kyō) of “Zo, Tsu, Betsu, and En
that I have talked about so far.

(1)Zo, Tsu, Betsu, and En of
“Shi-Kyō” refer “The Teachings of
Storehouse, Applicability, Separation,
and Circle.”

So, what are “Shi-shou and Five Eyes,”
which are placed in “The Shi-kyo”?

Shi-shou:
The “Shi” in “Shi-shou” is “four”,
and “shou” means “sacred.”
It refers to the four states of mind
that are necessary for humans to
develop happiness.
It also means “The four states of
mind that are freed from suffering.”
Let me give a name of “Shi-shou”
specifically:

Shō-mon,
En-kaku,
Bodhisattva,

Buddha.

Of these, I have previously talked
about Buddha in previous articles,
but I have not yet talked about
Shō-mon, En-kaku, and Bodhisattva.
I will now tell you about them
for the first time.

Shō-mon and En-kaku are people
of the intellectual hierarchy.
They are cool like scientists, and
thoroughly dedicated to
“distinguishing between truth and
falsehood.”

Bodhisattvas are people who value
“being useful to people and society.”
They are people who value others
more than themselves. Therefore,
they are “Practitioners striving to
become Buddha.”
They are disciples of Buddha.

Bodhisattva, a representative
Bodhisattva. He was a Bodhisattva
who lived during the same era
as Buddha.)

  1. Interesting perspective on this topic. For content creators working on multilingual educational materials, having accurate transcripts can be incredibly helpful for cross-referencing sources. I’ve found Transcriptly (https://transcriptly.org) useful for generating transcripts from audio lectures and interviews.
